MissionsOutreach

We, the church @ Myrtle Lake, take this command to heart. God has chosen people who are willing to be used as the avenue by which His Love is spread to the world. We relish every opportunity to reach in and have a proactive effect for the Kingdom. In order to follow God’s Word, we focus our missions outreach by identifying the areas seen in Acts 1:8.

Jerusalem is where we focus our mission endeavors in the community of Land O’ Lakes, FL. VBS, Feed the Need, and Hope’s Closet are examples of our Jerusalem missions.

Judea places our focus on the larger Tampa Bay and throughout the entire state of Florida. Oasis Pregnancy Centers, backpacks for migrant children, and The Florida Baptist Children’s Home are each examples of how we are “on mission” focused beyond our Jerusalem.

Samaria takes us nationwide and provides opportunities to minister through missions here in the United States. Alaska, and New Mexico, are places we’ve been to in meeting our Samaria missions responsibilities.

The Ends of the Earth gives us our international vision to go to places where the customs and cultures are much different than our own. This will really get you out of your comfort zone. Brazil, Paraguay, and Dominican Republic are just some of the places we have already gone “on mission.”

We are regularly, through our Global Outreach Team, looking for those opportunities in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. We are always “on mission” with the message of Jesus Christ.
